Carol Christian Poell AW01 “Public Freedom” Striped Pants

Suit pants from Carol Christian Poell’s AW2001 collection “Public Freedom”. The main detail is a double stripe on both sides. 

RIF. 0048, style PM1511 SORG. Made from a polyester-wool blend (55-45). The only flaw is the tear near the right pocket (refer to images). 

“The theme to this shocking season was “Men in Cage” and the models were locked in the cage of a dog pound. The addition of turn-ups perfected the twist pants. The use of unfathomable fabrics like intestines knitted into garments was a talking point here.”
